The Chemical Brothers are best known as early-era makers of big beat electronic music, and they’ve successfully kept in the spotlight since their formation in 1989. Since then, they’ve won the Ivors award for Outstanding Song Collection and moved into other, less expected territory by scoring 2011’s Hanna: The Littlest Assassin. Their latest album, and their first full-length since 2010’s Further, will be Born In The Echoes, set for a worldwide release on July 17, 2015.

The album will feature St. Vincent, Beck, and Q-Tip, who also guested on one of the Chemical Brothers’ biggest hits, 2005’s “Galvanize.” Yesterday the duo released its first single from the album, “Sometimes I Feel Deserted,” and both the song and its accompanying video (watch below) are claustrophobic, inward-facing things that build to an anxious climax — well, as anxious and climactic as an oscilloscopic graphic can be.
